FAQs

SOLID SOAP BATH FOAM

How are soaps made?

Our soaps are handmade using the traditional "cold saponification" method. This process relies exclusively on the chemical reaction between vegetable fats, sodium hydroxide, and water.

Sodium hydroxide? No need to worry! When you buy natural soap, it's free of sodium hydroxide, as this compound is completely depleted during saponification, which takes about 48 hours. While natural soap can be safely used after this time, we only release it to the market after it has been carefully aged for at least five weeks .

Natural soap is particularly rich in glycerin, an ingredient known for its soothing and skin-protecting properties. Choosing a natural soap instead of a commercial shower gel or bar soap ensures gentle cleansing and keeps skin hydrated.

It's important to note that many commercially available solid and liquid soaps are actually detergents. These contain chemical surfactants and other substances that can strip the skin's natural protective lipid layer.

What ingredients are soaps made from?

All our soaps are formulated exclusively with plant-based ingredients. We support ethical production and do not use raw materials of animal origin. Our formulas include olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil (sourced only from RSPO-certified sustainable agriculture), avocado oil, sweet almond oil, castor oil, sunflower oil, and mango butter. The colors are obtained using mineral dyes, while the fragrances are derived from a combination of essential oils, extracts, synthetic fragrances, and resins.

Does my soap look slightly different from what's shown on the website? Why?

Our soaps are handcrafted, meaning each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. The image on the website represents just one of the countless aesthetic variations the soap can take on during the creation process. However, we guarantee that the stated ingredients will remain unchanged and that the product will look similar to the one you ordered.

How long does my soap last?

The shelf life of soap depends on daily use and application method. For example, if you prefer to rub the soap on a sponge before using it, it may last less than if you apply it directly to the skin. On average, soap lasts about 3-4 weeks. We recommend placing it on a dry surface after each use or using grid or magnetic soap dishes to allow water to drain properly. This will help prolong its life.

The scent of my soap doesn't last long on my skin. Why?

This is due to our choice to exclude phthalates from our fragrances, which are often used as fixatives to prolong the perfume's lifespan. Being petroleum-derived, phthalates have a significant environmental impact and can be harmful to health, so we don't want them on our/your skin.

The fragrance of the soap will accompany your cleansing ritual and will be felt on the skin for a short time after drying.

Can I customize my soap?

Absolutely! With a minimum order and variable lead time, we can customize the packaging and engraving of your soaps. Whether you'd like to use them for a special event (wedding, baptism, first communion, graduation, etc.) or simply add a personal touch to your gifts, don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
